There is a mailing-list dedicated to the support of thot distribution on
Linux, so I've put the list in Carbon-Copy. An archive of the list is

This message is completely harmless. I made changes in The Motif 2.0
code to avoid a bug in the Image Cache occuring only in a few configurations.
I just left the message to get information on how frequently it appears
and which configuration. I will remove it in the next Thot versions.

These are messages produced by the installation of the support
of ISO-Latin-1 keys. E.g the key sequence Alt then a then backquote
will produce an agrave char. Your keyboard map doesn't have enought
entries so one of the extended chars won't be supported. All this will
change in the next Thot release ...

You should make the font files located in /usr/local/thot/font
to the X-Server that is actually displaying the Thot windows.
Have a look at the xset command in the X11 distribution.
